This sounds like fun. I'm in. Are you going to do this one Donna Rae? Is this one that posts every week? I think that it would be a fast project. Never have enough table runners. LOL

Debbie

Never done a mystery before. Maybe I'll try this one. This would be a good exercise for me as I avoid cutting and usually do it as I go along. Need to challenge myself.

jbsstrawberry 07-03-2008 12:35 PM

Thanks DonnaRae!! I bookmarked it, and I'm gonna actually TRY to keep up with this one. Sometimes stuff we do for other folks occupies most of our time. (Not just talking sewing stuff LOL) I've always wanted to do one of these, so maybe since this is a smaller project I'll be able to work it in!

Knot Sew 07-03-2008 03:54 PM

It says its quick and easy, I'll wait till it is all posted, and if I like it I'll do it.

i did half of the last one and then didn't like it. I was cutting big pieces to make scraps. I think its because i really don't have enough scraps :D that make sense

beachlady 07-03-2008 03:56 PM

Think I am going to try this one too. Thanks for the link.

DonnaRae 07-03-2008 05:33 PM

Wow you all are doing it :!: :?: :!: Great, the more there are of us making it together the more fun it is! Aggi said she would be doing it too. And Yep, I am going to do it too. Maybe I will make a post in classified about this mystery. And I don't remember who asked but the last one she did there was a new step every week. I don't remember reading wether this one is every week or not. I will go back and check.

Ruth, this one is really easy. It is nothing like the last one. I did not do her last one because we were doing the Orange Crush here. But I followed it and it was so easy and nice too. You should do it. It is not a mystery if you wait to see it. So come on do this one. :D :x

Well guess I better get a good night sleep so I can start this in the morning. Oh and I am shopping tomorrow. I don't know if anyone has a Hancocks around them, but starting tomorrow and the fifth all their good stuff is 50% off and Simplicity is .99 cents. And if you order on line $50 or more shipping is free. The sale is from the 3rd to the 9th but the best part of the sale is only for those two days the 4th & 5th. Sometimes, just sometimes, I get lucky and find really good nice stuff! I got my bobbin winder on a sale like this for $14. from Hancocks. But I will be there tomorrow. Guess I will post this for everyone in links. :D Good night everyone.

tlrnhi 07-03-2008 05:39 PM

I've never done a table runner, so I think I might do this one.
Have to go thru my fabrics to see what would be pretty together.

Quilting Aggi 07-04-2008 04:54 AM

I hope to get around to it eventually and hope I don't get left too far behind!! I really really really want to do it, but I need to complete a few other projects first including a baby quilt and a wedding gift quilt. I also have two quilts to get started soon for classes to teach in September.. ooh and I still have to sew up all the blocks from the last mystery!! LOL

ahhh but what's one more project!!! Bring it on I say!!!!

Cheers!

DonnaRae 07-04-2008 04:10 PM

I have not finished sewing up mine from the last project either. I am in the middle of sewing around the appliques on the baby quilt, making curtains for my moms new place, three quilts that the blocks just have to be sewed together, (and one is super easy, just have not had the time) and a jacket that I have to hem the arms and bottom, and a purse that needs the zipper put in, and......................................... okay Aggi, I know not as much as you for sure because you do the teaching thing. That alone would stiffle me!

:D  :D  :D

DonnaRae 07-11-2008 10:49 AM

I don't know if anyone is following this easy peasy mystery but Step 2 is up. Here you go.

Ok Donna, I am so glad you posted this cause I forgot. I do have my fabric picked out so maybe this weekend I can start.
These are the fabrics I am going to use,

DonnaRae 07-11-2008 07:30 PM

Wow, pretty fabric. It is going to be nice! I just left my camera down the block at my moms for the day so I will try to remember to do pics tomorrow of my fabrics. My mom has two hot dog dogs (dauchaunds) and she says she catches the pip squeek girl kissing the older male when no one is looking. Usually she is really mean to him. So my mom wants to try and get a picture. Hmm too funny. Anyway that is why she has my camera. I am constantly lending it out, and then I never have it when I want it. Must speak to my family about buying cameras. I guess why should they if they can borrow mine. Too funny. :D

 I feel so alone and abandoned over here on this mystery tablerunner, but I dont want anyone to feel quilty for bailing on me, no really its ok! The emotional scars will fade in time and who knows, in time I just might develope another personality or two to keep me company!

  Here is step 3. I think next week is the last one!!!!

Skeat 07-22-2008 03:56 PM

mgshaw-you crack me up!!:0)I do hope the scars heal:))How many people are on here doing this??And, can someone exactly explain a mystery quilt......I was going to do the crush thing when it started but was on overload...and, still am here..but, I just might bite here!! Is it too late??Skeat

Skeat 07-22-2008 03:59 PM

Skeat 07-23-2008 12:11 PM

Okay...I am on the last part of sewing it:))I stepped out of the box and am using Halloween fabrics:))I'll hopefully post pics later tonight:))It is easy...and, fun. The only thing is when she mentioned 1/4...my blonde highlights kicked in and I was thinking fat quarter...so, had to make 2 sets of strips to get to my 12:))No big deal...good lesson for me..not to read the directions while the kid has a story to tell me:))Skeat

mgshaw 07-23-2008 03:52 PM

Yes, it is very easy and quick. For those that want to join in go ahead, you won't believe how fast you will have it to where we are. I went over the yellow line and did not use 'contrasting' colors, but, those from the same color family and line. Just to see how different this could look and to use up some of my older stash:0). This line is from Mr Halloween ...Skeat

marty_mo 07-24-2008 03:07 AM

Cool Skeat ~ does any of the fabrics glow in the dark? A glowing table runner would be super cool.

Mgshaw I like you runner...nice colors also. You both are forcing me to give this a try. Nice job ladies.

Skeat 07-24-2008 03:43 AM

Not sure if this glows in the dark or not:) That would be cool if it did:)). Come on marty-whip one of these runners out over there!:0)Skeat

mgshaw 07-24-2008 05:57 AM

Yes that would be super if you could do that, I could have a go at that, its not a big project. Snow blizzard...OMG if only I would go out there and stand in the altogether, I am slowly melting away here.

BUT I can quilt and cut and sew in the heat I AM A QUILTER..... Amen to that. Elle
