Hey, that's just a bigger version of the pointed star Christmas ornaments. Now I can practice on something a little bigger. Now to open the link... Forgot to say how pretty it is. |
That looks so cool!!! Can't wait to try it out.

I hope you have fun with these. I just finished a dozen of them this weekend. Whew! Happy holidays everyone!

My Mom made scads of folded star potholders. She also made oodles of smaller ones, about 3" across, as ornaments. Here's pics of each:

Thank you....I'm glad you like my tutorial! I don't know why it's so difficult to get to, though.

Okay, so when the directions say to "stitch the four points together" can I assume that means a small stitch done by hand? I see that each round is machine stitched around the base, but I wasn't quite sure what she meant regarding the points. These are very lovely and I'm thinking that I'd like to get a head start on next Christmas. I'd like to make a smaller version so that they would be ornament sized. Thanks for this helpful tut.

Has anyone made these in smaller version that would work for a Christmas tree ornament? I'd like the end product to be around 3". So, I'm wondering how far down I need to scale the measurements of each layer?
