I wonder how they get those 80 layers of fabric stacked so even and smooth before cutting!

Now that is what I call a die cut machine. I have seen layers of fabric laid out on a vacuum table and they are held in place by suction to be cut into pattern shapes. The layers do not move.
|
That's a pretty neat video. I'm guessing the machine leaves a residue on the top piece of fabric. But of course, that's just a guess.
|
Amazing and now I know what I'll tell my family I want for Christmas, that machine, in my dreams maybe !

But, I sure wish they wouldn't pink those edges; I like a straight cut, but probably due to fraying.

That is way cool. My husband just told me that at his previous job (1995-2000), they used a similar machine to cut fabric for blood pressure cuffs. Of course, I just found out when telling him about this machine. LOL!

Very cool to watch!

We all want that "waste" material!

I'm having a great deal of trouble with my precuts. My layer cakes are not 10 inches. I've got 3 projects just sitting there, two jelly rolls that are not 2 1/2 and this paint brush layer cake. What do I do with this?
