Thank you.

The pattern was well written and easy to follow. You typically would make one set of blocks per month so it was maybe 2-4 hours worth of work each month (assuming everything went to plan). Last year was flying geese, HST, courthouse steps and square in a square blocks. These are her original patterns.
The first month was selecting fabric. The last month was putting the quilt together. She emails you a 1 page set of instructions each month. At the end, there is a random drawing of prizes for those that send her a picture of their finished quilt or quilt top. Here are all of last year's quilts: http://meadowmistdesigns.blogspot.co...al-parade.html Mine says "Libby D" but you can see all of the colorways above. I was unspoiled. If you want to see the finished quilt ahead of time to decide if you want to participate, you can send her an email and she will send you a picture of the finished quilt. Last year's quilt was much larger than this year which will finish at 60"X60". Because I give mine to PL, I took off the bottom row, flipped the quilt and put that row on the back. So mine is different than all of the other quilts in the link above. This is the pattern from the year before, which I didn't participate in: http://meadowmistdesigns.blogspot.co...lt-parade.html Between the two prior mysteries, I think you can get the sense of what type of quilt patterns she makes to see if you like it. I hope you will join in. It was a lot of fun! |
Quiltsrfun, I love the fabric choices.
I am looking forward to Thursday! |
I like all the selections you all made. I am going to join in. Want to join in here as I closed my FB account. Will post my fabric choices when I get a chance.

So glad you are joining us Trisha!! Tomorrow is our first clue!!
|
The first clue is announced! It is cutting instructions only this month!
|
You can either get the cutting directions from the website or via email. The email directions are easier to print out and are nice if you are keeping all of the individual pages she sends you each month as a pattern. If you aren't on her email list, you should send her a message and ask to receive this month's directions. She will then put you on the email list to receive the directions each month.

Just got an email from Cheryl that there is a new system in place and the pdf's will be held at mailchimp online instead of being emailed out each month.
Here is the pdf version of the July fabric selection instructions:https://gallery.mailchimp.com/ccbed8...Fabric_Req.pdf Here is the pdf version of the August cutting instructions: https://gallery.mailchimp.com/ccbed885d0936ec8a01cbdd4d/files/Meadow_Mystery_Quilt_Final_Cutting.pdf |
Got my August instructions but won't be able to start for a while. I have a couple of baby quilts to make. But since the clues are monthly I think I'll be able to keep up.

thanks for this link--not sure I'll do the mystery quilt as I'm pretty bogged down for the next few months--but I bookmarked her website cause I like to show my beginner quilt class which starts in January how different color/fabric selections impact what you "see" in a quilt. Will be following the rest of your posts on this!

Got mine cut out today. I took the suggestion and made the starred blocks 1/4" larger.
