No kidding! I thought all my boxes on shelves on the wall and the yardage in the closet was too much so I have been buying less and using what I have and I'm no where even close to hers!

No one in my family sews either but my family does understand there is a lot of value in what I have so not to just donate it - they may not get a lot, but there is value. If they find someone that needs it though, they would more than likely give it to them.

wow, a great story.

My family had been told which charity should have first pick of my stash, but then we sold our house and got ready to move. I had the head of the charity come glean my moving sale (about 20% of my sewing and craft stash).
Now that we are in another state, I'll have to choose another recipient. I hope I outlive my sister -- she's a hoarder who doesn't even take some of her purchases out of the bag.

Lord help you. I have about that much. Lord help my husband and daughter. Find a Quilt guild in your area. They make lots of quilts for Vets and Children

After looking at all that fabric, I'm speechless.

That is some stash. It's a great story and appropriate to Kansas, since the Kansas City Star publishers were there. I have heard of a stash that was several bedrooms and several storage lockers big.

Sure makes me feel a whole lot better about my stash.
