Wish I was in Kansas City today. I'd love to go to her garage sale.

Our church group received a huge lot of fabric. We are sharing it with other churches that have charity groups locally. This poor lady who had to be put in a nursing home because of her Alzheimer's, she must have shopped every sale at JAF.

Wow what a stash

Thanks for this post. So interesting. People do have different ideas about stashes. I'm really trying to use up what I have accumulated. I don't want my daughter to say--what the heck was she thinking!!!--stockpiling all this fabric. She doesn't have any interest in sewing.

I do have a stash but it is a drop in the bucket compared to that storage unit.

That's what happened with my sister lost her battle with colon cancer. Unfortunately, back in 2001 we did not have all the social medial to advertise the sale in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA. I think a lot got trashed as a lawyer was handling the Estate.

A guild member passed away and her wishes were that the guild receive her stash and sewing supplies for our donation quilts. She knew her time was limited and wanted the guild to know that was her wish. But it was never in writing and she didn't have a will. Her son sold it all to a vendor, said he never heard her say give it to the guild and it was left to him to deal with.
