I just entered a post concerning my Martelli rotary cutter. The first one blew a spring which left the guard flopping around. I used it without the guard and the plastic parts fell apart so I tossed it. I purchased a new one and the first time out the spring broke.
I'm having a hard time with customer service. They will fix it if I pay the postage to return it. I requested a prepaid label, but it's been days and I haven't heard anything. It took a long time to get any kind of reply. Not so sure about their customer service.

I've heard mixed reviews of their service. They sent me the wrong size cutter. When I called they said they would send the correct one, but also offered to let me keep the wrong one for a little less than half price plus they would send me a blade for half price. I took it for some dumb reason. I guess if I didn't want to do that I would have had to send it back but I don't know if they would have paid for that return shipping or not. I would hope so but you never know with little companies like this. Their stuff is so grossly overprice anyway. If it wasn't for their 50% off sales I wouldn't buy anything. As it is, I think I'm set for a while now.

Any of their regular mats - extra blades.......I do believe their blades are much better than any others......I am very hard on blades....and mine last and last........especially when you can get a pkg of 10 blades for $20.....I get them every time there is a sale......and I share them at classes, retreats, etc......most of my friends are also lovers of these blades.

Are their cutting mats good or better than other mats that are out there?

Their mats are supposed to be amazing. I have the rotating one but haven't used it yet. I'm slow.

I really like their mat & cutter. Had a few other brands which were OK but not great. I have only purchased on their sales but have liked everything I got. Since it's 1/2 off, you could get a small mat to try.
