Thank you so much for the site. A friend of mine talked me into trying Thangles. I bought them but have been looking for some block patterns to use them.

Thangles make perfect points for HST's. They are also fun and easy:)

LOL Of course I have suggestions!!

Here are a couple of threads I did awhile ago:

This is how I make HSTs - more accurate
    http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-37915-1.htm

    And this is troubleshooting ideas
    http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-23252-1.htm

Mostly if you start with an HST square that is cut accurately and you pay attention to tacking the corners together you should have good points. The edges of your blocks should always meet and match. If they don't then you need to do some damage control. That means see if your seam needs to be fixed or you just don't have the blocks together quite right.
Sometimes I get in a hurry and I don't tack the corners together and then my seam isn't coming out right on the edge. Where your two blocks meet on the corner should be even and when you open the two blocks up you should see a straight line along the two blocks. If you don't have that then now is the time to do some trouble shooting not after the quilt block is all put together. Prevention saves alot of headache!!

I don't doubt Thangles are great but as I sell my stuff I don't want to buy anything when I can make them easy my way. I also don't want to have to run to the store to get anything before I can work on HSTs.

This is my cut down method and I have several "Blocks" I teach and use in my products. So this is how I do mine.

I believe each to their own. What works for me may or may not work for someone else. It's all good!
