I hope this is the right place to post this. I ran into this super easy and super fast cutting technique for a square in a square.

I am doing the technique and cutting the squares like they show. It is super easy! I am making multiple baby quilts so this is perfect.

I flipped the cutting mat and drew permanent lines on that. This way I do not get distracted by the lines on the cutting board.

I did this the day I saw the show. Need to freshen up my lines though. I also drew lines in a different color for starting with 6 inch blocks which are nice for baby quilts. I also stabilize my stack with post it notes on opposite corners. This is the back of one of my blue mats which I don't use as often.

Hope you can see the lines.

Keep trying to click on it, I got the same thing you did at first. Went back and re clicked and the correct one came up.

Oh the same here. Even bought special rulers some yrs ago with videos and and books and I still didn't do it. Too much work. Now I am whipping them out. Cut out close to 50 and have sewn together over half of them. Yeahhh!

Would using painters tape for the cutting guide lines work?
