found out our very own Holice designed some of the BEST wholecloth tops ever to grace the hoops!

I have seen quite a few of these done by the Mennonite ladies here, and they are always so stunning!

I am nearing the end of quilting one that I believe Holice designed, it's called Welsh Beauty. So far, nearly a year in the making, but I also made an Affairs of the Heart, a single bed quilt for DGS going to college, and a large lap quilt in that time.
I would love to see a pic of the machine that prints the design on my queens sized one.

I started a whole cloth a few years back. Only problem, design wore off. I was using a hoop. I would take the hoop off and fold to protect design. Still, it faded. Have tried using tracing pen to get design back, but very really can't see design that well. Does anyone have any secret info on how to keep design on fabric.

Have a question about whole cloth. Do you use the exact color thread for the quilting? Or do you use a thread with a little color in it? Does the quilting not show up well with the same color thread?

We had a discussion about that yesterday I think. Someone made one with white thread and didn't like it. I think they're elegant. I use white backing on my quilts a lot because I love how it looks with white thread. All a matter of taste.

Bought one a while ago, it was misprinted. The markings were not in line with each other. What a nightmare to try to line them up. It was like the fabric was folded when the original markings were stamped or some thing. Could not take it back cause I'd already started sewing on it and it was from another state. Anyway, I would defiantly never buy another one. What a waste of a LOT of money.
