Things don't all fit yet, but I'm sure they will eventually...

I push the top on that in most ways. Over age, over stuff, over fabric and that doesn't count the embroidery thread. That can add up quick.

Just a few quilting statistics:
*The average age of quilter is 62 years old.
WOOHOOO I'm YOUNGER!

*About 85 percent of quilters have a room dedicated to quilting activities at home.
Is 25% of the basement considered a 'room'? ROFL

*On average, a quilter will have $8500.00 worth of tools and supplies for quilting.
Tools and supplies? Nope don't think I'm anywhere near there.
I'd guess less than half that amount.

*A quilter will also have $3700.00 invested in purchased fabric.
Nope - No Way - I have no idea - can't be that much (at least that's what I'm willing to admit to)

Ummm, Tortoisethreads, does being heavily tatooed influence or make your quilter age older or younger?

Is this you? I know I fall in that category. Give me your thoughts.
I am 42yrs. old.
I have a small section of the livingroom.
I am no where close to having $8500.00 worth. I shop thrift shops, both of my machines cost less than $160.00.
My stash is probably less than $3000.00. I am a thrifty shopper.

Nope this is not me!

I'm 22

Two dresser drawers and card table in corner of bedroom = sewing area.

Only tools $199 sewing machine, two square rulers, a mat and rotary cutter. (My straight edge is the metal thing on the floor in the doorway)LOL

I've spent about $200 on fabric.

So far my immune system has fought off the quilting bug. I have too many hobbies to spend a lot on just one.

Ask again in 40 years, tho, who knows!

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I am well over all those statistics. I could probably help push several over the limit with my overage!
