Congrat on the new machine. We can't wait to see your first project on it.

Brava!!!! I wish you many years of great sewing!!! A sewing machine is a great friend. Your machine "naming" made me realize that I need to honor my same old machine in this way. I've had her for like nine years or so -- and she was only bought as an interim replacement because my machine with the computer brain went to sewing machine heaven. Wellllllll, all these nine years this interim machine has never failed me, has functioned well. I don't talk to her in sweet whispers the way I did my other machine, but talk to her, I do. I think she deserves a name. Gotta think of something fitting for her. Suggestions welcome.

Congrats you will love Ruby...I have the Husqvarna Viking SE which was before Ruby and I too was talked into it by Hubby...I too felt the expense and all but he made me do it and it's the best thing I ever did...You'll love all it can do...Between the embroidery/quilting/sewing...all those stitches...all those Perks...If you need any help or have any questions drop me a line..I'd be happy to help you out.
When you have extra bucks look into getting the 5D Professional software. The machine has the capability of taking a photo and translating it into stitches. I have the 4D Professional and Family Portrait and have done a family quilt going back to the 1800's taking the photo and stitching them out and then writing with embroidery all the persons information...Family Tree...Again it's amazing what it can do. Make sure you take advantage of the free training classes that come with the machine.
