It could be a 10 minute block that started with half square triangle block instead of solid 5" blocks. Below are a few pictures of a couple of my 10 minute block quilts, if you want to compare.

The black and white one is made up of three different sizes of the 10 minute blocks.

I don't think that's a 10 minute block. It looks more like spools or bow ties. You might try one of those on Google.

It could very well be a "ten-minute", aka "dimensional bowtie", block. I've seen a Youtube video, which I can't find for the minute, showing a variation using HSTs as the blocks and a plain square for the center. It can also be done with pieced strip blocks or any other kind of block - the technique used to set in the center is the same.

I like the border on this one - it gives me an idea as to how to finish my top! http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...ml#post5337432

I sure like that pattern. It looks simple enough. Maybe it is only a 10 minute block. In that case it will take me 20. Thanks for sharing.

When you look at that black and white on that kathdavis posted, it almost looks like a bow tie quilt. Soooooo pretty!

It isn't a 10 minute block, but you could easily make it a 10 minute block. Just make the half square triangle blocks the size you want and then cut your solid blocks that size and then sew them in like the regular 10 minute blocks.

Thank you!!!

I found the pattern but the more I look at it, the more it looks like one I already have. . . or at least a lot like one I already have. Hmmmmmmm.

See? That's what I thought, too, but then I thought "Well, maybe it's a 10-minute block" because I remembered they looked kind of like that, too.
