Quilting can be dangerous to your health! Pins stick into you, machine needles try to sew you to your quilt, and rotary cutters are waiting to cut off whatever they can from you - people just do not realize what we go through making them a quilt!!! Included in our costs list of fabric et al, time etc, should be danger pay :-) when we consider what to charge for a finished quilt!
I hope you heal quickly, and that you'll be able to get back to your favorite pastime! Maybe if you wear a thimble on all your fingers while you use the cutter, your fingers won't be in such danger! (joking) Sorry you are hurting.

Ouch. I hope the rest of the healing is uneventful. And that you don't have to give up sewing for too long.

Cheers, K

Ouch that does hurt! been there, done that ... just a different fingertip. The blades are sharp enough to cut fingers, but sometimes too dull to cut fabric. Take care. Cringing for you.
