Beautiful! I hadn't thought of using a hammer but makes sense.

Wow these are both beautiful! Out of your scraps huh? Boy I'd love to see your actual stash!

If you don't mind me asking, what did you use for the "lead" in your stained glass, and where do you get it?

Not sure which one I like better ~ both are so pretty. I vote for the swirl of the seams technique!

did you stitch all the way to the center? If so, pull out the stitching back 1/4" When doing "pointy" blocks...I make sure I stop stitching 1/4" from the ends. On points...measure and mark on the wrong side with a mechanical pencil....draw the line all the way to the edge of the fabric. The marks will cross at the 1/4" intersection...That's where you stop stitching. You will get a whole lot less bulk and can swirl the leftover seam area to flatten it on the back. The bulk will fill in any tiny hole that may result from not getting quite to the intersection.

Yout quilts are beautiful. I have trimmed my seams at an angle when I have several coming together at one place. It has worked for me.

Beautiful quilts. Both patterns are new to me. I will be watching for the answers to some of the questions. I would like to know the name of the designs and designers.
