What a wonderful story. My mother is 87 and she has now finished 775 hats for humanitarian efforts. They are winter weight, knit of beautiful colors, and done with love. She hopes on making it to 800 total for the year. Her goal is 2-3 per week for the past 8 years.

K-thanks for sharing that heartwarming story with us. It is always a great to have a reminder that there are good people in the world too.
Sara--your mom is a wonderful example of the good of others. What an accomplishment on her part!!!

What a very wonderful story!!!
And Sara, what a wonderful mother you have!! Would be really neat if your mom's local paper did a write up on her!
Could you imagine the change, if more stories like this were done? More people being inspired to do likewise.....
