I am usually a border person but with this one I would leave it as it is. The design has a "built-in" border. I would use the leftover fabric and make a patchwork border.
Very pretty and well done. Lucky recipient.

Beautiful, love the colors next to the black. I think using some of the fabrics for a border would make it a tad bigger and finish it off nicely.

If anything I would add a piano border with black between the colored fabric.
