Default 5 1/2 inch square die

I have just ordered my Accuquilt Go and am searching for a 5 1/2 inch square die. I found one for the Studio but not for the go. Does anyone know where I can buy one.

You can have it custom made. I think there is a 15% off sale now for custom dies.

I got mine from eBay. I think this is a standard size because I have it in rag cutter and I think a regular die. I have also seen them at Joann's and other fabric stores. google it

My first move was to try several searches including Google. It should be a standard size but evidently is not. Not on EBay , Amazon, sew and vac or Accuquilt’s home page. I did find the rag cutter but that is not what I need. Joanne’s no longer seems to carry Accuquilt. I’m glad I ordered from Amazon prime because it may be going back since this is a basic need for me.

There doesn't appear to be a 5 1/2" die for any machine. (I am looking at the Accuquilt chart of dies). There is a 5 inch die which finishes to 4 1/2" (I bought mine at JoAnn) #55010 - will work with All the Go machines. Then there is a 6 1/2 inch die (#55000) which finishes to 6 inches. This die can only be used with the Go, Go Big and Studio (it will Not work on the Baby).

Hope this helps.

There is a 5.5 strip die and you can use this to cut squares 45 and 60 degree diamonds by laying your 5.5 strip crosswise.

I don't think a 5.5" square die is considered "standard". The mass-produced precut charm squares are 5", finishing at 4.5". There is an Accuquilt die that cuts 5", but I agree with the others, a 5.5" would be a custom-made die.

I agree that 5.5" really is an unusual size. The GO! cutters will only work with GO! dies, which are only manufactured Accuquilt. So if you don't see it on their site, it's not available & you need to go with a custom die.

yes--options are either a die that finishes at 6", one that finishes at 4.5" or you can strip cut and then subcut. 5.5" is not standard but you could get it custom made--rather $$.

Which GO did you order?

As mentioned above there is a strip for 5 1/2 but no square. I love the dies that cut multiples and have ordered duplicates of favorites. In our classes we sometimes load two separate dies to cut multiples and pass them through the machine.

Hopefully, there are some new products coming soon. Wait a bit and you may find the one you need is available.
