Have you considered looking on Craig's List? My daughter tells me that you can even post on Craig's list that you are looking for a used item. People sell them all the time. So it doesn't hurt to look. Maybe ask at your local quilt shop to see if they know of someone looking to get rid of one.

Although I had considered buying a GO, I definitely won't now. Time to look at the Scan and Cut a little closer.

Scan and Cut is more for crafts then quilting. It can be used to cut quilt fabric, one at a time. Be sure and try one before buying.

I feel the same way. I really have all the die's that I want.

Joann's still has them for 30 percent off. Today is the last day of the sale.

Oh well, I have only a few dies already, and I don't plan on getting the entire line, so I will just be selective with my purchases. Nobody needs every single die anyway.
I have always gotten my Go dies from Nancy's Notions also -- they always had the best discount. Today, I went to their website and could find no Accuquilt dies for less than retail. Oh well, I guess I won't be expanding my Go die collection.

Not nice! I got everything I have at various stores where I found the cheapest prices. I really think the dies are too expensive. There are a few I would like to have, so I'll have to start shopping. Thank you for the info.

Not all of them knew, I've heard from a few that they just found out. It shouldn't matter how much or how little a profit another company makes on their products. If they dont' want them selling them, the Accuquilt doesn't have to sell to the shops but once they do the shops should be able to charge what they want. We all live in different areas with different cost of livings so we shouldn't all be treated like we do. I'm so glad that I bought the Brother cut n scan, I have the go and only a few dies that I use the most but when I need one I don't want to have to order it on line when I have a store down the road that will give me a discount to go there and buy it. Alot of dealers will stop selling them because they won't be able to get the prices that Accuquilt requires online. Most of us users are just now hearing about it so its also not old news to us either.

I have one and this statement is so not true, yes it does on layer at a time but can cut more than one design in seconds, alot less time than it takes to roll the fabric thru the Go. It has great quilt designs built into the machine and you can even have it mark your pieces with the 1/4 in seam allowance. how great is that, how many times have you heard people on here complain about not being able to get a good 1/4 in. You can even resize them on the machine. Its just as much for quilting as the go is. Cutting one layer at a time isn't an issue when you can do it faster

The dealer here is getting the Brother Scan and Cuts returned by quilters that she makes a point of saying it is best for crafts. She finally set up one in her shop for buyers to try before buying. I have used one to cut blocks for a twin size quilt so I know it isn't for me. My neighbor has one she uses for card making and scrapbooking and it does an excellent job.
