Sounds to me like we have a lot of grandmothers or want to be grandmothers on this board. Lots of ideas out there. I was thinking of a large 9 patch and then they could play tic-tac-toe on it. Your fabrics were very pretty. When I started my DGD's I had them sew on paper with no thread on a pattern I drew, so they could get used to curves and straight lines. Their first projects were pillowcases, and they were delighted with them. Looking forward to seeing your project.

I ended up throwing in a lot more choices, from my stash, once it was down to one child. We kept the machine (I ended up getting the Brother CS6000i, for them) on slow speed . . . and TALK ABOUT S L O W!!!!!!! Great for a beginner but I would go batty!
