I have ordered from J and O many times and I've always been happy with their service and their stuff.

thank you so much for the website. WalMart was my only fabric store unless I wanted to travel at least 50 miles. UGH. I love WalMart but that was awful taking our fabric from us.
God Bless

I don't know just how many states CRAFT WAREHOUSE covers but I would suggest that everyone checks it out if you haven't already. We have one in Salem, Oregon & I just got 25+ yards of material there for a little over $56. They have a flat fold sale table where everything is $4.49 a yard but as my DH & I picked through the neat piles, we discovered prices as low as $.99 and $2.24 per yard. My purchase wouldn't have been so large had my DH not been there to get down on his hands & knees to look through the material piled under the table. So if you have this particular store any where near you, I suggest you take a fun trip there to see if you can find great prices like we did. My largest purchase was enough reproduction print for backing on my queen quilt for just $15.75. And most of the fabric was name brand, not WalMart quality fabric.

Same here in metro Detroit - they sell fabric, batting, supplies, yarn, even sewing machines. I've seen the same fabric in JoAnn's that is sold at WalMart much cheaper. The only problem is having to get the lady from the jewelry counter to come over and cut the fabric. I'd be happy to check what they have if anyone needs more.

I actually like ordering online from Joann's.... It is always christmas because I end up with more yardage than I paid for. It is like they either don't know how much a yard is and I end up with 2, or they don't care. Free fabric... can't beat that.

I would love to do all my quilt shopping on the net but here's my problem. First, I'm a fabric "feeler". I can tell more about the fabric from feel than almost anything else. Second, I have a hard time trying to match or compare colors from the net. How do you gals and guys solve that one?

Our Wal*Mart in Benton still has lots of fabric and so far no signs that they are closing the fabric section. The Bryant store closed out their fabrics months ago.
