I've heard people talk about Sizzix. But haven't really heard pros and cons. Just that the big one can use some of the Go dies.

I looked at the Vagabond website and don't see where it says that it cuts fabric. If you click on the "quilt" tab, it takes you to a different machine.

    Getting off topic, I guess.....

I watched it, BellaBoo. She was cutting shapes. (and very nicely, I'd say). I'm wondering about cutting strips like the Accuquilt Go machine.

That Vagabond is a pretty slick invention. I'd love to see one in action in person.

They do have different strip cutting dies. I have the Sizzix Pro, which is not electric, but decided that the strip dies were too limiting as far as size. You have to get a different one for each width that you want to cut. That is why I have the AccuQuilt also. The Sizzix can use the dies from all the manufacturers and you can also get custom dies for it quite reasonably. Ann in TN

A friend told me about these cutters so I investigated and now I have had mine (GO) for about six months and I really think it was a good investment. I initially purchased it because of the ease of cutting "curved" pieces like winding ways, robbing peter.....applecore and yes this little cutter does really do a great job of those patterns...even cuts out the little triangles to match the pieces.......I have in the interim purchased a lot more dies thru internet sources, triangles, squares.....rag square is a hoot! and now am working with 1 1/2"strips and does a great job of eliminating many scraps...the secret I have found is following the cutting lines with a silver marker and making measurement notes right on the sponge....on and with the strip cutters you can do diamonds and squares by simply repositioning. But like everything else offered, we decide for ourselves what works best in our little world, in purchasing the cutter I have found something that I really feel makes cutting a lot easier and "fun" for me....enough said...going to go cut and sew now.

Still think for my needs, the accuquilt is the best machine. It cuts strips, squares, triangles and diamonds beautifully. That's mostly what I need for my quilts

I bought mine years ago while I was still working ... before my hands got really bad. Now with the arthritis I feel blessed to have bought the Alto's QuiltCut 2 before I was more in need of it.

I don't think I'd still be quilting without it!

I have mine stored under my TV cabinet in my living room. I do my cutting in my living room, so having things close together is nice.

I know you would love your's too.
