been there done that, when ever using any kind of machinery you have to be alert. the first time I did it I was making my sons first suit, the next time I did it I was making a toy and it was very close work and oops did it again. I have a fear of vaccination neadles and this is much more painful LOL, it happens so quickly take care hope it heals OK

I think there needs to be a special health insurance for quilters...they just dont know the pain that we could come upon!!! :?

:XD: Sew sorry. Hope it feels better soon. There was another post a while back about the same thing. There were a lot of people that have done the same thing to themselves or have had it done to them by others. (Kids around machines). Myself included. No idiots here. Take care and heal soon. BrendaK

My friend did this on her new machine which she now calls Nipper. She took the needle out of the machine with her finger pierced clear through and had her husband pull it out with a pliers.

I've only manage to get the needle through the nail not the whole finger.

Ouch! I feel your pain. Wasn't very long ago I did that, lucked out and thumb nail was stronger than needle lol stopped my machine cold :)
