Am I the only one...

...that uses blue painter's tape on my rulers?
It seems as I'm working on a project - I forget where I was measuring from - or am too involved in what I'm doing to write anything down.
Thus began my dependence on blue painter's tape.
It sticks great - peels off easily with no residue.
I never really thought about it much until my latest project.
When I was putting my ruler away I looked at it wondering.. how did this make sense?
Knowing perfectly well that at the time I was using it, it was quite rational.

Painter's tape is one of my favorite non-sewing notions. I use it to mark my rulers, sometimes to mark quilting lines, to tape a small brown bag to my sewing table for scraps, to pick up threads after ripping. And I keep a strip sticky side up next to the machine to catch clipped threads.
