I have always gone bare foot but now wear shoes outside because am Diabetic and do not want to hurt feet but other than that shoes off at door. God made feet before shoes.

I can maintain the speed of the sewing machine so much better. Glad I am not alone in this.

I was just at a quilt retreat, I would say it as half and half of shoes on, shoes off. Mine were off

Right shoe off. Left shoe varies. At home both shoes are off and I am in my socks. Have to feel the pedal.

You're not odd at all. I have a pair of Sock Monkey slippers that I wear while sewing. I have to admit, I slip off the right one to "drive" the machine -- hard to feel the pedal otherwise.

I never tried sewing without shoes on before, or slippers. I also never related that to the foot moving around on the floor. Hmmmmmmmm

I'm with you on the bra thing. I figured I am past the age of caring if I sag a bit.
Bra comes off first thing after dinner. I tell my husband I'm ready to go to Walmart! There are some funny videos I have seen about the way some people go to WM. So I guess with no shoes and no bra, I'm ready to go!
