My DD won't go to the Goodwill store anymore with me because I only bring home shirts that I plan to cut up for quilts. We go there to get me some new shirts, but I never ware any that I bring home. LOL

I used to wait for the bus to come for my Dd so I could see what kind of shirt the bus driver was wearing. He wore very colorful shirts that would make nice quilts. Dd would tell me mom you are terrible. LOL

At my sister's wedding 20+years ago, I made myself a dress out of a floral cotton. At that time, my dad was piecing lap quilts for my grandmother to quilt for grandkids and greatgrandkids. He told me when I decided to get rid of it, he wanted it because he liked the lavendar print. I used some of that dress two months ago in two wallhangings for Easter.

I have turned into a hoarder since I started quilting, can't stand to throw away any cotton garment!

I saw someone's coffee cup at work yesterday with beautiful black and cream scrollwork and I thought what a great border that would make on a quilt. I guess it is our creativity at work!

Went to my grandsons' art show Sat & thought several of the works would make great fabric! I think fabric design would be an awesome thing to do. But making a quilt from one the boys' art pieces would be an heirloom for sure!

Oh yes. It is a funny feeling the first few time. I see quilt patterns everywhere.
