Default Another block enlargement request

I love star blocks & am making some for a charity that I make blocks for. This block drive is for 12 1/2" unfinished star blocks & I found this great block that I want to make. My problem with 12 1/2" blocks is that I always seem to not have enough allowance for the points so this block is perfect for me! Barb in Louisiana is a master on EQ & I could sure use her help right now....or anyone who can enlarge patterns for me.

This makes a 6 1/2" block (I'm assuming that's unfinished).

A and B squares are 3 7/8" (since these make HST I'd cut them 4")
C squares are 3 1/2"
D and E squares are 2"
F squares are 3 1/2"

I couldn't get a pdf posted here, so if you pm me your email address I will send you the pattern, either pieced or paper-pieced, whichever you like

seems it did work.

There is a tutorial on Jordan Fabrics that is made up and called floating stars. No points to worry about but I am not sure of the size of the blocks. I love this website-she gives so many ideas and tips and great tutorials. Good luck on your blocks

I searched for that tutorial but could not find it. Could you post a link to it, please? I get all her current tutorials & love the way she explains everything. Thanks!

Oh, I like that floating star block & will have to try that.
Today I made the Point Taken block that I asked help with enlarging. Since the original pattern said the block was a 6" I decided to just double all the dimensions & see what happened. Well.....it turned out to be a 14" unfinished block so I had some trimming off to do. Another strange thing was that it said that the block center should measure 3 1/2" square. So mine measured a bit over 7" so I trimmed it to 7". Because of that, I wound up with less than 1/4" seam allowance all around the blue section which accounts for the cut off points on the blue. So after all that drama for the day I did end up with a perfect 12 1/2" block with some not-so-perfect sections in construction. I did use some vintage television fabric that I had in my stash & managed to get them all going in the same direction. I have an email out to the designer to see if it's o.k. to enlarge the pattern & use it for my charity block. Pending her answer it will just hang on my design wall for me to study.
