I was in my lqs today when I overheard the owner tell a customer who'd just bought a machine that she's need a walking foot. They are out of stock and when the new ones come in, they'll be $57. I paid $29.95 two weeks ago.
I'm wondering if I should get a back up while they are less than $30. I think Chotilde has a generic one about $25. I wonder how long this one I just purchased will last. Any thoughts?

I would think it'd depend on how much you use a walking foot.Personally...I buy too much stuff to use now.So many quilting must haves.....I'd go crazy if I had to worry about backing up all the goodies. But, hey....that's just me. If it feels right to you, go for it.
PS.....check out a couple Janome on line shops for prices to compare.
