Thank you for the pattern for your quilt. It is lovely. Now I will also be looking for a dry iron.

Bellaboo will you please post again after you receive your iron. I had the same iron for 35 years (a wedding gift) and since it quit, I've gone thru 5 irons in 5 years. I cannot find one I like and this sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks!

I don't have that iron, but I do spray the fabric and press with a dry iron. My iron is a steam iron, but the reservoir is ridiculously small and I got fed up with refilling it over and over and over. It works just fine, in fact it's better than steam for badly wrinkled or creased fabric because you can really saturate the creases. The fabric also seems to dry and release the heat much faster, making freshly-pressed pieces easier to handle..

To follow up, I did get this iron and I love it. It's heavy and it gets hot. It does not have automatic shut off. I've been making Dear Jane blocks and after I finish a block I put it on a folded towel, lightly spray it with starch and press hard - press down, don't move the iron back and forth. I end up with a totally flat block, and some of those blocks have 10+ seams in them. The iron is great! I got it online at Home Depot, about $28 with free shipping.

I also bought this iron from HD. I got it last week and I love it. I don't use steam, just a spray bottle when I need to. I was too afraid of my iron leaking. My fabric doesn't get stuck in the little holes. It also has some weight to it which I like. My Sis has it right now trying it out. She likes it too. She said she will be buying one.
