    Default Anyone doing Zendoodles?

I went to a quilt shop today and there was a class but no sewing. They were doing zendoodles. I was very curious of course. I was fascinated with the designs everyone was doing. It is a form of doodling that makes great designs. All you need is drawing pad, they told me mole skin was the best sketch book, and good quality pens in different line widths. It relives stress and you have a notebook of sketches. No drawing skills needed at all. Just what I need a new fun thing to do.

i've been zentangling for over 20 years- visit the zentangle web site to find out alot about it - in the past year or so many quilters have started using zentangles in their quilting in all kinds of creative ways- it is taking off like never before- there are get togethers all over the states-
the web site is a great place to start- sign up for the newsletter and you get free new designs and lots of info.

This is an excellent site to see tangle patterns and to learn how to draw them. I've been drawing for a few months now and it's very relaxing but also addictive.

I just purchased the book "Zen Quilting Workbook" by Pat Ferguson from Amazon. Great book. I have done one small piece on my longarm, can't wait to start another one!

I'm taking two Zentangle classes at MQX this coming April with Pat Ferguson. I have bought some books and started doing the drawn tangles, and Mrs. B is correct, it is totally addictive. I've always been a doodle-er so this is a reallly great thing to me. I have yet to try quilting the tangles but that's what I'm going to the class to learn.

It is a very, very relaxing art form also. I'm taking care of my Mom who has advanced cancer, and I find myself sitting down to tangle every night so that I can relax before going to bed. It really does help. It keeps your mind occupied but yet your mind is not racing.... very strange but it's true.

Sound like fun. I'm going to check it out. I'm a natural born doodler. Not that I need another addiction. I'll never get my house work done.

I found a small mole skin journal with gridlines on the paper in DH's desk, got my Micro penset from my quilting room and I started zenning last night. It's fun and very relaxing.
