I really like mine and have had it for a year and a half. I keep it on the table beside my sewing machine and have a pad for it. It does automatically turn off and I have to remember to push the button, but it works well. It comes to a point on both sides so you do not stand it up. It is smaller than regular irons but works well. When I piece a block and get the ironing board out it still works well. I love that I have no cords that get in the way. It is a little different and there is a learning curve to not try to stand it up and to replace it on the base when you are straightening fabric etc.

Mine wasn't more expensive then most regular good quality irons. I watched the prices over the holidays and got a great deal. I got the Reliable Mavin 120IS for less then $70 with free shipping directly from their website. When I want an item I keep a diligent watch on prices from all sources. I save enough to buy more wanted items.
