Default Applique Iron

I love doing the starch method of applique, but I'm finding it more and more difficult to handle my heavy iron. Can anyone suggest a good iron for this purpose? I've heard not so good things about the little Clover not getting hot enough. Thanks

There are some nice, small, travel irons that might work for you. I have a 7" Shark that I bought years ago for doing applique. Does the job!

Most newer irons are much lighter weight than the old irons. even the ones that look big and heavy. Take a look in the stores near you and see what they have.

I do alot of applique and know what you mean. I used to use one of the full size irons as that was the only one I had. I have since purchased a Rowenta travel iron that was supposed to be just for traveling to group and retreats. I love it so much that I havent even touched my other iron since. As a matter of fact I am not even sure where it is. LOL I know that the Rowentas can be pricey but I found mine on sale at 1/2 price and think it was well worth the money.
