It's a S&W variation, I think, uses 4 pieces for the block instead of 6 or 8. It's called Florentine Fantasy, and is a free pattern available here: http://www.robertkaufman.com/quiltin...ntine_fantasy/

The hardest part is choosing the perfect fabric. The second hardest part is lining up and cutting out. After that, everything is a snap!

And here on the Quilting Board there has been many posted with the pattern called 4PP or Four Patch Posey.
Some join 4 squares together ... and others cut a square into 4 triangles to then join the stacked triangles of 4.
ITA .... the hard parts are getting the right fabric, then layering before cutting.
After that it's totally FUN, with a surprise as you sew each four-some together as to what the awaiting kaleido will be!!

Okay, I have answers regarding the fabrics used in this quilt. The dark burgandy border is Benartex 'Noble Family' by Mizuki. The center focus fabric is a Hoffman 2011 challenge fabric, "Hanami". I'm fairly certain both are out of print.
I don't know the name of the fabric, that quilt isn't mine, it was made by a friend. I was using it as an example because I don't have pics of mine yet. However, I do know that my friend used an Asian print. Here is a pic of a matching pillow she made with the same fabric, maybe it will help. I'll ask her if she remembers what fabric it was, also.
