They are certified by the American Quilter's Society. We have at least two in the area and they are often at the quilt shows. When I sell my quilts in the museum shop, I get an appraisal done first. The more you teach, lecture or write about quilting the higher your prices can go as a "known" quilter. All very interesting!

No way! I make mistakes just like everyone else!! I have a beautiful big moose which I was rushing to get to the LAQ and busy trimming away "extra" layers of fabric from the applique. We opened it up to discuss the quilting pattern and there was a big hole where I had cut into his nose! I had a choice of either putting on an appilque piece after the quilting or just leaving it with the "patch" stitched into the quilting pattern. Since you have to hunt for the spot I left it alone. Just one of many booboos.

Yes machine applique....but is it fused raw edge or turned edge?
