If you do work like this as a complete beginner, I can't wait to see what you create when you get the hang of it. I wouldn't overdo it because your fabrics have a lot of implied texture but I understand that you want to "blend" the cats a bit. Try with color pencils on paper to get the idea for the movement of the needle later. Sorry can't be any real help, I just want to pet the kitties.

Thank you all. I have it almost finished now. I'll post it when it's complete. I had to add whiskers and "eyebrows" and now I'm finishing up the binding. The AAQI quilts can be no larger than 9 x 12, and believe me, it's hard to stay within that limit. I had intended to put borders, but I don't have room. So just a very narrow border to frame it and a binding. And then it's finished!
