My three year old daughter loves her Sunbonnet Sue baby quilt I made her when she was born. She's in a big bed now, but still takes her "girl quilt", as she calls it, to sleep. I have a full-size Sunbonnet Sue ufo that I might finish up at some point for her!

There is a book called “Far Quarter Baby”. There are quilts for boys or girls. I love this book.

SusieQOH, I wanted to give you the name of the pattern book I used. I kept my book intact, photocopying the pattern pages to cut the pattern pieces from. The book, put out by Leisure Arts is titled The Ultimate Sunbonnet Sue Collection, and there are 24 different quilt blocks patterns included in the book. As I said, I photocopied the pattern pages and used the photocopies to cut out for pattern pieces. I think there could be copyright issues, if one was photocopying the entire book, but I bought the book for my own use, I made a Sunbonnet Sue Quilt for my
great-niece, and as it happens sometimes, there was fabric contained in the quilt from three generations, for a quit going to the fourth generation. It was a pretty special quilt! Not only that, but if you have a copy machine that will do it, you can increase the size of the various pattern pieces, should you need to make the block bigger.. Also, I doubled the number of blocks in the quilt, and increased the size of the blpcks, It can make a real difference in a quilt. Obviously, you don't want to make the pieces too large, but these things have a way of working around usually.

I think you can increase the size of the pattern pieces, and keep the pieces you think you need to work around the pattern pieces -- it will work out okay.'Good look with your quilt! I'm still working on these to get themn as straight as I can get them.

Once you make all those other baby quilts, here is one that can use up your scraps:

Lots of free patterns on the riley blake site too. Even little bibs and toys.
