i get my Crescendo on Wednesday. They have to bring it from one of their other store locations.

Thank you everyone for answering my questions and sharing your insight.

I found a video that helped me to use the sensory pin and the needle beam. The video is not from Baby Lock.

I really am impressed with all of the features I have mastered on Crescendo.

    Hi Jo,
I just watched the Brad Martin video on the laser beam and sensor pen, thank you so much for posting that link!! I had the laser pretty much figured out, and have used the pen, but now understand the message it gives and why. Very good video and I have shared it with some friends who have the Unity. I love my Crescendo!!!
    Thanks!

Well, I'm here again about the Crescendo. Someone here mentioned that they purchased at one dealer for less than at another dealer's price. I somehow don't think I'm being given the best quote when I asked for their best price. I was going to make a trip across town (not easy for this old lady, but a friend was going to take me) to see the Crescendo. I called to see if the person I had been speaking with would be available to demonstrate the machine to me. At that time, she told me she was glad that I called, because they "had to sell the demonstrator" to another lady, and did not have one in the store to show me. DRATS!!!!! I certainly would have bought the demonstrator had she told me it was available. I feel a little annoyed that she didn't let me know early on that I could buy the demonstrator. I certainly would have already done it. I am being quoted $4200 plus tax, and would receive a $300 visa gift card, and if I bought before the end of Feb.....I would get another Visa for $100. I guess I could sum this up by asking.......what should I expect to pay for the Crescendo from a dealer? Is there an online source, or only local dealers?

Default Help with connecting threads thread

When I'm doing straight line quilting, I don't have to mark the quilt, just hold a small ruler about 8 inches away on the quilt and aim the laser for that. Works like a charm.
I have an Aria i just got and have a ton of thread from connecting threads. However when I tried using it, blue on bottom and cream on top, the tension was all wrong. Couldn't find a good setting. Could you please share your settings on using the thread? I too love this thread. Thank you so much in advance

I haven't had any tension problems with connecting threads thread. I don't adjust the tension at all. Perhaps you need to change the needle? I usually use a size 12 for piecing and a 14 for quilting. Wish I could help more.
