Baby quilt batting
I've been doing a series of baby quilts for Project Linus for the last 5 weeks or so and have finally run out of the Warm and White I purchased on closeout at JoAnn's. Even with a coupon, batting can be so very expensive. Searched online at Wal-mart and they have various types of batting that can be ordered and then picked up. Has anyone used Pellon batting before? I've seen Warn and Natural and Hobbs on the site before, but I know nothing about the Pellon brand. What do you use for baby quilts?

I would use Joanns coupons that came today and see if you can buy the bolt with the coupons. It says 60% off "by-the-yard Batting and Foam" and then use the 20% off your total purchase for May 24-2. Hope this helps. You could call and ask them, or go.

I use the Pellon brand before and liked it. Since most of my quilts are given away I don't know how well it holds up - but no one is telling me there is a problem either.
I was buying a bolt of fabric once at Joann's and I asked at the cutting counter if I needed their ticket in order to do a check out and one of the ladies said she had to measure it first, luckily there was another person at the table helping someone else stopped her, told me to just go to the counter and show them the label. I couldn't use the coupon because I bought the full bolt which is already discounted (I think 40%) and then there was additional 20% off the total purchase - so I was thrilled. But I did not relish the other lady unrolling the bolt only to roll it back up.... she would never get it that tight again. Now I just order it on-line and let them deliver it. :-)

You got my curiosity up... so I did some research.
The Pellon (Nature's Touch) was on sale at Joann for 40% off.
Walmart's regular price is a bit less than half of Joann's sale price for the same thing!!!
Joann's Crib size on sale: 8.99 Walmart regular price: 4.33 This makes JA 50% off coupons not so great, after all!
Thanks for the heads up.
