I think any design/block will work. The colors used will have the quilt!

I made a "Princess" quilt for our youth pastor and his wife for their baby girl. I forgot to take a picture of it (finished it literally at the last minute) but I found some princess and castle fabric that I cut into 6 1/2" squares and made pinwheel squares with the pinwheels matching in color with the princess squares and the pinwheel background was a white on white floral. It turned out very girlie and cute.

Love this quilt. Maybe I will do that but have to finish a frog quilt for my daughter first. Baby quilt next. Thanks.
