Baby quilt size?
I have a little checkerboard top that is about 31 x 31 - made of 2-1/2 inch squares.
I found a bit more material so I can get maybe enough to make it 35 x 31 or 33 x 33.
I don't have any fabric suitable for borders, so I might pillowcase this one (yuck!)
Any suggestions for the size?

I think my basic question is - if I make it bigger - keep it square - or add to the length?

Another vote for square. I think the larger the better (I make mine at least 45"), because at first the quilts are just used for tummy time, but I always think it's nice when they can grow a bit with the kids.
