Have never made a mustache quilt, and I don't plan on making one in the future...

My step son and daughter in law painted our granddaughter's room a beautiful shade of lavender. Her room is a "Paris" (the city of Paris, not Hilton!) theme. Her bedding in the crib is black and white. I think it's creepy.

My DD did her baby room all scrappy. Lots of leftovers from others. She said she wasn't spending money for new baby furniture or decor when it was for a baby and babies didn't know anything. LOL. She waited until my grand was two and then invested in quality bedroom furniture which grand is still using and she's 14. All she had to replace was the mattress every few years.

Don't think mustaches, think black and white. A pieced Scottie Dog pattern quilt with the little red bow tie would look really good.

A mustache theme sounds awful to me. I love the smart idea of making do until the child is older. As baby #2 I slept in a dresser drawer for my first several months. Mom and Dad lived in their new basement as they built their house above them- bit by bit.

Very smart! I didn't have even have a baby's room. Both my boys slept in a convertible crib/toddler bed in our room until they were about three, then got moved into the kid room. We got nice bunk beds when it was time for Thing 2 to move in with his brother.

I think this is a pretty good idea. I would go with this. I think I kid would want a quilt with something they can say... like dog
