Like the Scottie dog idea or Dalmatians? Or cows, zebras? How about either all back/white animals with bright colored mustaches appliquéd on or animalS in general with mustaches? Odd theme for baby room but some new parents seem to over think everything and make uniqueness into some bizarre competition!

I like the animals with mustaches idea. I think it's an odd theme for a baby room - but... people do odd things all the time. I'm sure there are those that think I do odd things as well.

My daughter is giving a friend a baby shower tomorrow. Bow Ties and mustaches are the theme. Requested by the mother. Oh well-----

I think I'd just ask what colors they are going with and make a nice patchwork quilt with those colors and let the mustaches out of it. That way when the child continues to enjoy the quilt as he grows up, he won't be embarrassed to have mustaches on his favorite blankie!!! (Kind of a cute idea, but a little weird to me.) 'Course what do 52 yr. old grandmas know? :-)
