Yes, I have bought these at my local quilt shop. They have a "samples sale" I find them a great way to add to my stash.

I have purchased these types of sample bundles by the pound from a regional sales rep who works for a textile distributor. She stores all of her samples in her garage or in her van. Once a particular fabric collection is out of print and is no longer being sold to quilt shops she needs to make room for the new stuff. I spent $120 and got 30 lbs. (equivalent of 90 yds. total) and have the makings of many gorgeous scrappy quilts as well as some full panels and borders. Removing the cardboard headers is a bit tedious when purchasing that much but her DH and my DH were nice enough to help me do that before we weighed it all. I can't wait to pay her another visit!

I would...if the price was right! and on SALE!!
Our little LQS went out of business and I KNOW it was because she had absolutely no SALE table! AND the number one reason she went down is because she did not have a sign on the main road! What a shame!!!

Absolutely!! These can be really fun in your own quilts, or piece them together for a quick charity quilt project.

yes I would, and I have. Got a couple of rolls of hoffman Christmas samples at a quilt show, with all the golds... made a beautiful Christmas tablecloth.
