I just posted nessage on completing one section of the quilt

All four parts of the tutorial on making a bargello can be found in the virtual section http://www.quiltingboard.com/virtual...jsp?vsnum=1012

Bargello tute started by Kyiav10 (Discussion about doing a tutorial, fabric choices, design and layout)

Barb_MO Bargello Tutorial *-* Arranging cut strip sets for sewing
Barb_MO Bargello Tutorial *-* Sewing one section

Or you can find then by being on the main page down near the bottom click on All User Defined Sections. The Bargello tutorial should be first on the list

Yes, that is the order. The first one we discuss the different pattern layouts, fabric choices and arrangement of the fabrices and cutting the 2 1/2 " strips. Sewing the strips together to form the panels/strip sets that you cut to the required width and ironing the strip sets.

Cutting the strip sets the required size and the number you need from each set. The size of those strips range from 3 1/2" down to 1".

The next step is to arrange those strips to form the design. There will be enought of those to made the complete quilt top. they will be sorted into 4 stack, one stack for each section of the quilt.

Once the strips are arranged, you will chain piece them to form the sections.
