I am frustrated, but not for any real bad reason. I just finished putting the binding on a quilt. I love the quilt. I just don't know what to do with it now. It's a small quilt, actually a baby quilt, and I said I was making it for my cats. I intended to put the quilt on the futon in my sewing room, but it is so small that it just looks stupid there. Maybe I am laying it there wrong? Maybe it is just too small to look good there.

I wish I had made the quilt bigger. Phooey.

Would love to see it! If you made if for your cats, then I think that just tossed casually over the arm of the futon, ready for your kitties to grab, it would look nice. Also, if you really love it, to heck with the kitties, hang it on the wall. Also, a small quilt would look nice draped on the end of the futon back rather than in the center might look nice also. No matter where it lands, you should be proud of it and the hard work you put into it!

Yes, if for your cats, put it somewhere they can cuddle with it! I'm sure they'll love it and it'll look so much nicer than a traditional cat bed/blanket. I use my rag quilts on the arms of my couch cause (bad me) I never trained my kitties well enough and they still occasionally scratch the end of the couch. But I was also going to say, what about a wall hanging? Sounds like the perfect size!! Post it! Would LOVE to see!!

Well, I am feeling better about it. Your suggestions are good, and my cats do like it. I am not sure how to post a picture. Maybe I can figure that out. I have at least learned that this quilt size is smaller than I want to make again. I am still a beginning quilter and have a lot to learn. :)

Okay, I am going to try to attach a picture. I am using my new Mac lap top, and I have not done this yet...so bear with me. It may not work. The picture is of the quilt top before I added the borders.

Can you add more borders? Or for the cats take another piece of material and make a pillow that is the length & width you want for your spot then sew this on top. The cats will love it!

Lovely cat quilt. Very helpful tips from the board. Remember you put up photos. Learned something new. Well done.
