I was just excited to get the stool and the cabinet. I thought the sewing machine must have been junk since no one was outbidding me on it. I am new to quilting and have two sewing machines already but I really don't know much about sewing machines.

You can't lose with a sale like that! Maybe the auctioneer never opened the cabinet to see if there was a machine there. Too bad for him. You got a great deal!
