How much fabric needed for a queen size bargello quilt?

    TIA Pat

Depends on the finished size and the pattern. If you're following a pattern, there should be all that info contained, along with how to put it together.

Barb Mo has a tutorial on this board and people are working along on their bargellos. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-41828-1.htm

I looked in a book I have, Bargello Hearts by Nancy Podolsky. Generally her guideline for her designs for a queen, (60 x 80, without borders) is 2/3 yard each of 12 different colors.

The class you're considering, does it indicate if they provide the pattern or you have to buy your own?

    Trying to help. :)

Like quiltluvr said I have that same book. You also have to figure extra for border and binding. I have done several in all different sizes from that book. Marge
