I was hesitant to make my first ... I just could not "get" the sewing the strips in a tube ... and then "un-sewing" . BUT once I tried it I LOVED it ... its really not hard and can go pretty quickly. There are some complicated bargello patterns . Do a easy one first to get the method and confidence ... but you will be hooked, And come up with your own patterns in no time.
I hung a dowel for my first to help keep me organized . It is a bit of a different method so just take it step by step. I have made about 8 quilts and many many jackets using the method.
Once you get going look up a pattern called Twisted Bargello by Chris Timmins, its been out for several years and every one I have seen made in no matter what colors is beautiful.

I'm getting very excited about starting my first Bagello quilt.
I'll look up the twisted Bagello quilt also and see what that is like.
I'm not real good picking out fabric for quilts, I usually just go to the resale shop and get shirts and cut them up for my quilts or sometimes I use mens suits, they make a nice warm quilt. all my quilts are used a lot to keep warm, in this house there not just to look at. .
The Bagello quilt will be for our bed and I want something pretty.
I'll just try to pick out colors from light to dark and that should work.
How long did it take you to do your first one?
Thanks for the reply :-D
