    I want to make leaders for my quilt frame and was wondering if anyone can tell me what fabric to buy? Thanks. Norene

    the first ones I made I used a heavy muslin, later I used a mid weight canvas, I like them much better

    I use pillow ticking!! I like it because if its cut right, you can use the lines to line your quilt up!!

    I'm going to use velcro on the leader and make an attachment piece also with velcro. The attachment sheet is basted onto the quilt backing like Sharon Schambers shows on her site.

    here is a silly question, but what is leader fabric and why use it?I know that it is a la thing but just wanted to know.

    There are some out there that have a grid line on them so you know that it ends up straight on the leaders..... I know the one on the Gammill are Canvas so they are fairly strong.

    Leader fabric is used on a quilt frame to hook your back to before quilting. It is put on each roller.
