Gun drove me nuts, I spray baste and pin, after reading this do most of you spray only? my oh my if this is the case I have lost a lot of time doing both lol

I use the basting gun and like it. Great for wall hangings and small quilts. If you hold the gun at an angle it works well. There is a tool like a stitch ripper for removing the tacks.

I have never spray basted I must try it but on a smaller quilt.

I spray baste only. I will use safety pins around the edges if the quilt is large, just to be sure the edges don't separate or move around.

Aw well I have pinned it from the center outover then ran out of pins so used the gun for the rest so I hope that works ok

No tacking gun for me, just adhesive spray or thread basting.

Eeeeks! I was thinking about purchasing the gun but now I won't. I have COPD, asthma and emphsema so I don't use the spray. I use the pins and then just have to be careful when I quilt.
